If you have not tried to complete a loan modification with your bank, this site be of some help.  The Making Home Affordable site offers solutions offered by participating banking or lending institutions.  You can look up your loan number to see if it is a freddie mac or fannie mae loan.  You can request a loan modification, listen to audio and video and find a counselor.

If you have already talked to your lender and they tried to get you approved for a loan modification, you probably have all ready been turned down by this program by your lender.  This program is a Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae program.  It is not intended for loans that are "Sub-Prime" or portfolio in type.  That is why they request that you look up your loan number to find out if it is a freddie mac or fannie mae loan.
